Maria's visit

Maria came up from Mostar this last weekend. We had a blast! Saturday we walked down by the river and grabbed some Fanta lemon (the new addiction of this household) and chit chatted for a while. Then we decided that we wanted to grab lunch. We found another place on the river to eat. Upon deciding where to sit we chose the table in full view of the lamb of the spit turning and roasting away. Our waiter then handed us a menu that was in Serbian and we recognized absolutely nothing. Maria and i whipped out our dictionaries to see if that would help (and it didnt) so after about 40 minutes of trying to decide what to get Kristine and Maria ordered what turned out to be a chicken breast and fries and i ended up getting our equivalent to "chicken cordon bleu".
We sat and talked again for a while and then walked back to the apartment to chill. The plan was then to get ready go eat at our favorite restaurant and then go to the Boom Boom Room in the center of town. Yes, that is the actual name. We ate and had a great time and then headed to the hot spot! A beer and an hour of techno music later we decided that we had been there long enough. However, the urge for dancing had not surpassed so we got home and had a dance party of our own. Too fun!

Hey Dee,
Sounds like you're having fun getting to see and experience the culture of Banja Luka. I now have my International Driving Permit in case a vehicle is the way to go along the way. I will email you what I have of the trip agenda which at this point is the first half. I'm stuck on Amalfi to Salerno by boat and then train to Florence, but I'm working earnestly. I enjoy your blog. Take care and love and miss you, See you in Rome in 3 weeks.
